Thank you to all the KIPPsters who celebrated our 25th Anniversary at the first-ever alumni-led KIPP School Summit (KSS) by learning, growing, and showing love for one another!

Inaugural Alumni Summit

KSS 2019 was host to the first-ever National KIPP Alumni Summit! In celebration of alumni excellence, entrepreneurship, and talent, 400 alumni from 25 regions gathered for professional development, relationship building, and designing the future of the alumni network. Alumni led and designed their own programming. Everything from launching your side hustle and wealth-building to emotional wellness and fitness sessions. HARRIETT BALL EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING
HARRIETT BALL EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING
The Harriett Ball Excellence in Teaching Award, named after the teacher who inspired KIPP, recognizes outstanding teachers from the KIPP network. The winning teachers, nominated by their school leaders, were recognized for their leadership in and dedication to improving outcomes for students in educationally underserved communities.

The KIPP SIX award honors KIPP educators who have been school leaders for six or more years. The award recognizes the vital role that veteran school leaders play in changing the life trajectories of students from educationally underserved communities.

Across our 31 KTC Programs, there are hundreds of leaders and counselors who prove the possible with their students each and every day as they climb the mountain to and through college. There are also those few, distinguished, excellent leaders who go above and beyond; they transcend expectations and they inspire others. That is what the KTC Excellence in Leadership award recognizes.
