KIPP School Summit (KSS) is the annual gathering of the entire KIPP Team and Family to connect, learn, and share with our colleagues and friends from across the country.

This year’s theme, Better Together, highlighted the importance of students’ families, our communities, and the conversations we are having around the issues of social justice and equity.

KIPP COLLEGE PRESIDENTS CONVENING

We brought the higher education community together at KSS. Senior administrators from 53 colleges, including more than 20 college presidents, met to tackle the unique challenges facing first-generation college goers. United by the same goal of increasing college completion rates, the group came together to identify practices and policies aimed at addressing these challenges and spurring change.

KIPP VOTES

For the first time ever, we hosted a KIPP-wide voter drive at KSS. We registered nearly 400 people to vote in order to ensure that more KIPPsters make their voices heard at the polls.

KIPP THROUGH COLLEGE EXCELLENCE IN LEADERSHIP

Across our 31 KTC Programs, there are hundreds of leaders and counselors who prove the possible with their students each and every day as they climb the mountain to and through college. There are also those few, distinguished, excellent leaders who go above and beyond; they transcend expectations and they inspire others. That is what the KTC Excellence in Leadership award recognizes.
