Important Dates for the 2021-22 KIPP Scholarship Programs
- Oct 1: Application opens
- Oct-Nov: Suggested timeline to look over application, and familiarize yourself with application components
- Dec: Suggested timeline to ask for recommendations
- Jan: Suggested timeline to start drafting and writing essay(s)
- Jan 19: Optional Application Support Virtual Workshop #1 (details to be sent to applicants who sign up before this date).
- Jan 26: Optional Application Support Virtual Workshop #2 (details to be sent to applicants who sign up before this date).
- Feb 2: Optional Application Support Virtual Workshop #3 (details to be sent to applicants who sign up before this date).
- Feb 3-8: Suggested application review, finalization, and submission period
- Feb 11: Application due
- March-April: KIPP Scholarship Programs Review Committee to review and select finalists
- Mid-to-late April: Recipients to be notified

Scholars will receive up to $60,000 to cover annual costs of attending the program’s summer gathering and Annual Leadership Weekend costs.

Current KIPP High School senior or KIPP Middle School alumni in their senior year of high school are eligible. Students must have at least a 3.0 weighted GPA to be eligible for at least one scholarship program.

Applicants can be KIPP high school seniors, or seniors who graduated from a KIPP middle school.

No. This program is only open to high school seniors, not KIPP Alumni.

Yes! We encourage you to apply. Your citizenship status will not be taken into consideration during the selection process.

Scholars will be notified by mid-to-late April.

Yes, applicants are required to submit two recommendations.
Recommenders should be teachers, counselors, mentors, or individuals to whom you are not related and who can speak to your qualifications for these scholarship programs.
