KIPP SHINE Prep is the nation’s first KIPP early education and elementary charter school.  Students are encouraged to leave their mark on the world by living the SHINE values: Seek, Honor, Imagine, Never Give Up, Every Day.

Mission/Vision

The KIPP SHINE Prep Team and Family is committed to helping our students climb the mountain to and through college.   We are KIPP’s first fully grown early childhood and elementary school in the nation. We are deeply committed to our mission, to helping Houston students achieve success and to supporting KIPP’s movement on a national level.

Ways to Get Involved

Support - As a network of public charter schools, KIPP schools receive the majority of their funds from state and federal governments. However, KIPP offers much more than traditional schools, including an extended school day, week and year, field trips and extracurricular activities. To provide KIPP’s unique educational program, schools rely on support from community members, parents and local foundations.
