KIPP Philadelphia Elementary Academy is KIPP Philadelphia's first elementary school. Opening with 100 kindergarten students in August 2010, KIPP Imagine will eventually serve nearly 500 students in grades K-4. By giving our students an excellent education starting in kindergarten, KIPP Imagine is putting students on the path to college that will continue at a KIPP Philadelphia middle and high school.
The mission of KIPP Philadelphia Elementary Academy is to cultivate the intellect, foster the character, and ignite the imagination of our students so they can become leaders who choose their own futures in college and beyond. Our values are joy, teamwork, integrity, excellence, and determination.
Support - As a network of public charter schools, KIPP schools receive the majority of their funds from state and federal governments. However, KIPP offers much more than traditional schools, including an extended school day, week and year, field trips and extracurricular activities. To provide KIPP’s unique educational program, schools rely on support from community members, parents and local foundations.
