A’Dorian Murray-Thomas is the Founder and Executive Director of SHE Wins Inc., an organization that seeks to create a pipeline of leadership by investing in the development of civic-minded, college and career-ready young women leaders in the city of Newark. A recent graduate of Swarthmore
College, A’Dorian has been honored by the White House and named a “Champion of Change for College Opportunity” for her work. She has also previously been honored by Positive Community Magazine as the winner of the Annual “Community Choice Award” in Education; been named one of Glamour Magazine’s College Women of the Year; and been selected as the youngest fellow in the Black Alliance for Educational Options’ (BAEO) Bailley-Sullivan
Leadership Institute. A’Dorian currently serves as a board Member on the State Farm Youth Advisory Board and an Operations Coordinator at Opportunity Youth Network’s “Re-engagement Center”. Next year, she will be joining the North Jersey Corp of Teach for America as a middle school Social Studies teacher.
