North Carolina charter schools celebrate launch of electric bus fleet

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) — A network of North Carolina charter schools, known as KIPP, is celebrating the launch of a fleet of electric school buses.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at KIPP Durham College Prep, where school officials celebrated the construction of the buses and new charging equipment.
School leaders say the buses will reduce maintenance needs, lower fuel expenses, and provide a smoother, quieter experience for students each day.
