KIPP Navigate College Prep
Tina Dinh, an alum of KIPP Navigate College Prep, plans to attend San José State University and pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Tina has been an active member of her KIPP Navigate community; she was a Core Member of the KIPP Navigate Student Council where she led interviews and student panels for incoming teachers, and she was also the Treasurer of the Gender Sexuality Alliance Club where she directed and led fundraising events. As a first-generation immigrant from a lower-income background, she is passionate about advocating for minorities, especially those in her community. Tina aspires to help advance healthcare for low-income minorities and their families to ensure equal treatment in healthcare in comparison to their more privileged counterparts. Through her nursing studies, Tina hopes to contribute to bridging this disparity by becoming an agent of change, educating herself and others, and utilizing her passion for service and biological science to work towards becoming a healthcare provider that can advocate for these groups.
