Crystal Ngo

KIPP Public Schools Northern California

Crystal found the power of healing through art after dealing with her father’s passing. She was an intern at the Asian Art Museum where she coordinated events and tutorials to promote Asian art. She was also a community engagement intern at Public Health Institute working on the Improving the Wellness of Asian Youth Project where she facilitated open discussions and activities for a monthly support group and orchestrated an art showcase with 25 youth artists. As co-president of the Asian and Pacific Islander Affinity group at KIPP King Collegiate High School, she led meetings and communications with all of its members. Crystal is matriculating to UC Berkeley to explore the intersection of her passions for social justice, advocacy, art and space.
