What is the Hour of Code?
An international movement created by Code.org bringing together millions of students around the world to try coding for just one hour! Students (K-12) complete a fun, interactive 45-60 minute lesson to learn the basics of computer science using tutorials from hourofcode.org.
How Can My Class Participate?
Everyone can teach this! The lessons are scripted and ready to use, even if you don’t know anything about computer science. We have developed model lesson plans for each grade level that include PPTs, Worksheets, and Lesson Guides for each grade-level.
- Each lesson contains the objective, key points, teacher preparation, and scripted agenda.
- All lessons come with matching student worksheets and teacher presentations.
- Make sure you complete the teacher preparation so that you are ready to teach the lesson!
