About KIPP
KIPP is a non-profit network of college-preparatory, public charter schools serving elementary, middle, and high school students. We have a 25-year track record of preparing students in educationally underserved communities for success in college and life. Currently, there are 242 KIPP schools enrolling more than 100,000 students across 20 states and D.C.
Our latest results show that 80 percent of KIPP alums have gone on to college, 35 percent have earned bachelor’s degrees, and another 5 percent have earned associate’s degrees. Our earliest college-aged and older alumni are completing college at a rate that is above the national average for all students and three times higher than that of students from similar backgrounds. We are proud of their achievements, and optimistic about what future generations of KIPPsters will accomplish with the benefit of great teachers and school leaders, a supportive learning environment, and an emphasis on both academics and character.
