Zhi Jian Liang

KIPP Bay Area Public Schools Alumnus
Zhi attended high school at KIPP King Collegiate High School near San Francisco. After immigrating to the United States from China, Zhi taught himself how to code and immediately fell in love with technology. He plans to study computer science in college and eventually teach the subject to students in low-income communities with access to computer science courses. In high school, Zhi worked a part-time job, while excelling as a runner on the cross-country team and serving as a senior mentor with the KIPP King Senior Mentors program. Zhi has approached his plethora of activities with a smile on his face, earning him the “We Need Your Smile Award” for his outstanding attitude.
