Since her advocacy debut at the 2000 Republican National Convention as a then-KIPPster, Tasha has steadily leveraged her passion as an education pacesetter. Her insights and urgency in the educational and social policy ecosystem have been featured at dozens of conferences, briefings, and panels in Texas, Louisiana and Washington, D.C. Tasha’s expertise draws from her experience as a former classroom teacher and later as a public policy practitioner known for successfully leading parent engagement, education policy and grassroots efforts. She is proud alumna of Tulane University and earned her Master of Public Policy from New England College in 2014. Tasha’s implementation of unique strategies with parents, elected officials and community leaders has a special impact and has created a demonstrable level of excitement and engagement as she currently leads Advocacy at KIPP Texas-Houston.
