Marquis Thorn is a senior at Concordia University Wisconsin, majoring in social work with a minor in social sciences. A native of Atlanta, GA, and first-generation college student, Marquis aspires to be a policy advocate focusing on applying his talents to the macro-social level. With a strong focus on and aptitude for research and data analysis, Marquis aims to use data reporting to advocate for policies that positively impact disenfranchised populations. As the current Mr. Concordia, a Student Ambassador for the university’s Student Social Work Organization, and a member of both the football and track teams, Marquis is an active student leader on campus. When he’s not focused on school, Marquis spends his free time growing his clothing line, Face the World, and following in the footsteps of the great Jimi Hendrix as a self-taught guitarist.
