Kelby Hicks

KIPP ENC Public Schools Alumnus

Kelby is an alumnus of KIPP: Pride High School and has committed himself to a career in public service. Since graduating from KIPP, Kelby has gone on to obtain a B.A. from North Carolina A&T State University where he studied Political Science and Economics, and pledged his life in pursuit of achievement in every endeavor as a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He has gained significant insight into the business and government affairs sectors which are core to his professional ambitions. He has worked as a corporate consultant for Volvo Group Trucks North America and as a Legislative Assistant in the North Carolina General Assembly. Kelby is currently pursuing a J.D./MELP at Elon University School of Law and hopes to merge his intersecting interests in business, government, and environmental & social justice upon graduation in 2020. Ultimately, Kelby aspires to roles where he can leverage his network and experiences to create opportunities through equity, innovation, and sustainability initiatives.
