Joshua Edwards

KIPP Tulsa Alumnus

Joshua graduated from Washington High School in Tulsa. During his time in high school, Joshua was VP of the Senior Class Board, Trombone section leader, and an active volunteer at his church. He also became a radio personality at the Juice Radio Show, where he discovered his passion for changing the media’s portrayal of people of color. He plans to one day become a broadcast journalist for a major network to help eliminate social inequities in media coverage. Due to his extensive community involvement, Joshua won the “Mr. Hornet Award,” which acknowledges academic, characteristic, and extracurricular achievement.
