Jerylee Perez

KIPP LA Public Schools Alumna
Jerylee is a KIPP Los Angeles alumna. At KIPP, Jerylee made her mark as junior class president and editor-in-chief of the yearbook. She is passionate about telling the often untold stories of women of color in her community, and she has channeled this interest through her work at Las Fotos, where she uses photography to empower women from disadvantaged communities. Jerylee also co-founded Las Chicas Chulas, an organization that addresses the stigma of being a woman of color through photography. To further her interest in telling stories about powerful women of color, Jerylee intends to study journalism in college and eventually pursue a career in that field.
