Donnell Bailey, 2017-18
KIPP New Orleans Schools Alumnus
Donnell K. Bailey works with Democrats for Education Reform-Louisiana as a Program Manager, where he specifically works on grant writing, community outreach, education policy research, and advocacy work. He is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Originally from New Orleans, Donnell began his involvement in public service interning for Former United States Congressman Joseph Cao (R-LA) and working to help organize NOLA’s annual and city-wide Night-Out-Against Crime. He went on to intern for Former United States Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA), where he served as a Legislative Aide intern doing data research on NOLA Ed-Reforms. He then became a White House Intern under the Obama Administration in the Office of Presidential Correspondence, where he worked on President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Initiative. Donnell now resides in New Orleans and serves on the Board of Directors for KIPP New Orleans Schools.
