Deanrea Sykes

KIPP Tulsa Alumnus

Deanrea is an alumnus of Washington High School in Tulsa and is an incoming freshman at Howard University. An aspiring civil rights attorney, Deanrea is committed to learning about African American history and socio-economic disparities, with the hope of eventually achieving justice for people of color in the courtroom. He plans to major in African American History and double minor in Pre-Law and Social Justice at Howard University. During his time in high school, Deanrea served as class president, captain of the marching band, and volunteered more than 200 hours at his church and local hospital.
