Christopher Johnson, 2017-18
KIPP Philadelphia Schools Alumnus
Christopher Johnson is a native of Philadelphia, PA. He is a proud alumnus of KIPP Philadelphia’s founding class at KIPP Philadelphia Preparatory Academy. He is also a 2016 graduate of Oakwood University, a historically-black college in Huntsville, Alabama, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pre-Law with a concentration in Political Science. He has completed internships with Teach For America, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation in Washington, D.C., and the 2016 Democratic National Convention Committee in Philadelphia. In the Fall of 2016, Christopher worked as a Field Organizer in Cleveland, Ohio for the Hillary Clinton Campaign and Ohio Democratic Party. Christopher currently serves as the External Affairs Associate at KIPP Philadelphia Schools, where he manages the region’s public relations systems, community outreach, and state and local advocacy efforts. Christopher is a young man of faith who is committed to serving his community through organizing, youth mentorship, and educational advocacy. Aside from his typical work responsibilities, he enjoys engaging in political debates, listening to podcasts, and attending live sporting events and music concerts.
