Aizhaneya Carter was born and raised in North Philadelphia, PA. Following her time at KIPP Philadelphia Charter School, Aizhaneya made her way to Phillips Exeter Academy. Upon graduating from PEA, Aizhaneya attended the University of Pennsylvania where she double majored in International Relations with a concentration in Human Rights, Theatre Arts, and received a French certificate. Aizhaneya began her career in general management consulting, but quickly realized that her passion and purpose was tied to storytelling. Aizhaneya decided to leave consulting to attend the Williamstown Theatre Festival as an Acting Apprentice. Following her apprenticeship, she moved to NYC to build her career as an actor and producer. While in New York, she produced several short films and served as an associate producer on her first independent feature-length film, What She Said. Aizhaneya is currently the Producer for a short film gales, with the plan to develop it into a television series. She is also expanding her understanding of all her possibilities as a 2019-2020 Acting Apprentice at the Actors Theatre of Louisville. Aizhaneya’s life goal is to ensure the voices of those erased, subjugated, and disenfranchised are elevated through sharing and showcasing their stories.
