KIPP Tech Valley Primary Charter School is a free, open enrollment, public charter school for Kindergarten through fourth grade students in the Capital District. Here, maintaining a balance of high expectations and unwavering support for our students and families is our ultimate goal. With the extended day, we are able to ensure students' developmental needs are met through play, socialization, and physical activity, and provide ample time for academic instruction that will set them up for success in middle school, high school, college, and beyond. With two teachers in our K-1 classrooms, we are able to focus on learning in small groups, so that every student gets exactly what they need on day one.

Our vision is that KIPP Tech Valley Primary Charter School students will develop habits of mind and heart needed to fully engage as global citizens in the 21st century. High expectations for academic excellence and behavioral norms will be balanced with the consistent acknowledgement of effort and demonstration of empathy. Children will be empowered to build their own identities and influence their future. Here, education will be an inclusive process that strongly embraces families, responds to the context of our community, and encourages students to apply what they learn at school to making positive changes in the world.
