Regional Organization: KIPP Colorado Schools

As one of the first charter schools and the first KIPP school in the beautiful state of Colorado, KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy has led the charge in redefining what is possible in public education. Named after one of Colorado's 53 fourteen-thousand-plus foot mountains, Sunshine Peak has exemplified what it takes for a community to ensure that its students make the climb up the mountain to college.

We seek to empower our students to take charge of their own lives. We accomplish this ultimate vision every day through an unwavering commitment to academically rigorous and meaningful instruction, discipline with dignity that fosters strength of character, confidence and belief in our students, a strong sense of team, and inclusiveness. Aside from being exceptional readers, writers, mathematicians, historians, and scientists, Sunshine Peak students are graphic designers, athletes, and yo-yo masters. Above all, they are world-changers.
