KIPP NOLA Primary is a tuition-free public charter elementary school that opened in the summer of 2011 in the downtown area.
We are building KIPP NOLA Primary on the belief that each life adds meaning and worth to the lives around it. Through rigorous learning experiences, students are empowered with knowledge about themselves and others and with empathy for other people. The mission of KIPP NOLA Primary is to empower our children with the academic skills and the character skills needed for ALL of our students to succeed in mind, body, and spirit through college and throughout life.
KIPP schools rely on the support of foundations,
corporations and individuals who are committed to quality public schools
serving all students in New Orleans. Whether you are a prospective mentor or a
current funder, your support of KIPP New Orleans Schools is making it possible
for hundreds of students to climb the mountain to college.
Volunteer: There are many ways for you to support the work of KIPP New Orleans Schools. If your
interest is getting involved in actual student activity at the school-based
level, whether as a reading tutor or an after-school assistant, please contact
the schools directly to learn more. Learn more.
Support: Public funding does not cover all the costs of running KIPP NOLA Primary and the other schools KIPP New Orleans operates. As a result, support from our community is vital to our success. If you are interested in monetarily supporting KIPP New Orleans Schools as it leads the change in New Orleans education reform, please email Lisa Abel.
