KIPP Infinity Elementary School will welcome our first class of kindergartners in August 2010. The school will grow one grade level each year until reaching our full program of K-4th grade. Once a student enters kindergarten the KIPP NYC team and family makes a commitment to provide the academic and character strengths necessary to graduate from the college of their choice. Each year our students will learn through exploration and group projects, as classroom learning will extend to the zoos, museums, grocery stores, and the Harlem community. Our elementary team will nurture our students' abilities to solve real world problems and build a classroom community where students celebrate each other's successes.
The mission of KIPP Infinity is to teach our students to develop the character and academic skills necessary to succeed in high school and college, to be self-sufficient, successful, and happy in the competitive world, and to build a better tomorrow for themselves and us all.
Support - As a network of public charter schools, KIPP schools receive the majority of their funds from state and federal governments. However, KIPP offers much more than traditional schools, including an extended school day, week and year, field trips and extracurricular activities. To provide KIPP’s unique educational program, schools rely on support from community members, parents and local foundations.
