KIPP Austin Connections is a dual language elementary school that fosters strong connections between students, families, staff, and community members. These relationships highlight strong positive role models within students’ communities, show the power of giving back to your community, and provide families with resources and advocacy skills to help their children in their educational journey to and through college.
Students emerge from KIPP Austin Connections bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish, on or above grade level, and are leaders and advocates within their community. KIPP Austin Connections utilizes standards-based instruction that is engaging, connected to the real world, and that capitalizes on children’s unique curiosity. All students are challenged in areas where they excel and are provided individualized support for areas where they are developing in order to ensure that everyone is on a college prep path.
KIPP Austin Public schools are united in achieving one mission – to empower underserved students to strengthen the academic skills, intellectual habits, and character traits necessary to thrive in, and graduate from, four-year colleges and universities, giving them the freedom to shape their futures and positively affect their communities.
Support - As a network of public charter schools, KIPP schools receive the majority of their funds from state and federal governments. However, KIPP offers much more than traditional schools, including an extended school day, week and year, field trips and extracurricular activities. To provide KIPP’s unique educational program, schools rely on support from community members, parents and local foundations.
