KIPP Academy West, the 11th middle school in KIPP Houston Public Schools Network, serves the Mission Bend and Alief communities in West Houston. As the sister school to the original KIPP Academy Middle School, we complete a newly organized feeder pattern where our 8th grade KIPPsters will matriculate to KIPP Houston High School.

For students to remain successful and competitive in grades 5-8, high school, college, and world beyond, we know that academic skills, intellectual habits, and character development are crucial. We aim to meet each student-leader where they are and support them with love on their journey of continuous learning through a strong foundation in literacy, standards-based rigorous instruction, character education, and real-world learning experiences. At KIPP Academy West, we know that tech-friendly curriculum for maximum personalized learning, a robust extra-curricular program where every student can be a part of a club or sport they love, and a culture of support for students to be empowered to be leaders of self, others, and our community is essential to achieving this.
