ATLANTA -- The students are back at Atlanta's Kipp Ways Academy.
The Atlanta charter school was gutted by fire back in December and students had to move in the middle of the school year to classrooms at another school.
11Alive partnered with The School Box to replace all the school supplies the students had lost in the fire. New band instruments were also donated to the students to replace musical instruments that were destroyed in the blaze.
After the fire, work, began on renovating the burned out school facility, including replacing the roof. Now, seven months later, students started their summer session Friday, back in their own school building.
