While KIPP school leaders come from diverse backgrounds, all of our school leaders have demonstrated instructional leadership experience both as teachers and as valued members of their school communities. Before founding KIPP schools, Fisher and Miles Family Fellows undergo rigorous training through the KIPP School Leadership Programs, including academic coursework during the Summer Institute, coaching from seasoned KIPP staff, and residencies in high-performing schools.
