"Gary charter school plans to expand with help from grant"

 April Goble, executive director of KIPP schools in Chicago and Gary, made a promise to KIPP LEAD middle school eighth-graders Alejia Stewart and Keyjuan Matthews that they will graduate in 2014 from a KIPP high school in Gary. The creation of that school came a step closer to reality Tuesday when executives from Sun-Times Media and the Post-Tribune visited the Gary school to present a grant for $100,000 from the Sun-Times Charity Trust and the Post-Tribune Foundation.
