2011 Doris Fisher KIPPster of the Year Winner

Atlanta, GA

Jonathan is “the real deal” – he knows working hard every day inside and outside the classroom is key to success in life. He is extremely motivated when it comes to academics, always engaged in class and submitting exceptional work. He is the only male student in his school to consistently make the Honor Roll and Principal’s List each year. He also knows how to rally his peers around a cause, whether it’s a full-fledged community service project or just helping a fellow KIPPster gather their books after they fall on the floor.

That ability to motivate his peers has followed Jonathan onto the basketball court, where he is described as one of his school’s most outstanding players. For the semi-final playoff game, he gathered the team together with a ‘refuse to lose’ mentality and they came from behind to win the game.
